The clever tent conjures up plenty of space for sleeping, cosy get-togethers or for keeping luggage and accessories safe and dry.
Clever airlock design
The flysheet can be attached in different ways. A keder strip is used for form-fit attachment to appropriately equipped vehicles or the airlock is simply attached to the vehicle with the three straps, without any tools or special equipment. A door on the side of the airlock allows access to the vehicle from the outside.
Stand-alone function
The advantage of being close to the car is that a power source is always at hand and lugging equipment over long distances is avoided. However, day trips are no problem because the awning is free-standing - simply detach the airlock from the vehicle and drive off. What remains is a fully-fledged tent whose airlock entrance can be closed with a weatherproof door.
Weatherproof and stable
Made of robust polyester tent material with a water column of 3,000 mm and thanks to flexible, break-proof fibreglass poles, the Balestrand Van Protect is absolutely weatherproof and stable, yet light and compact. It can be set up and taken down quickly and is safely transported and neatly stored in the carry bag supplied.
Protective groundsheet
The fully sewn-in groundsheet keeps out moisture, draughts and creepy-crawlies and the mosquito net on the front and side doors offers further protection. The floor can be folded down at the entrance doors to make it easier to get into the tent without tripping.
Lots of light and air
The main entrance of the tent can be converted into a sun canopy using the two poles to provide shade in the entrance area. The large panoramic window made of foil provides plenty of light inside the tent even when the doors are closed and can be darkened from the inside for more privacy if required.
